My challenge this year has been to create more cosplays that make use of my natural hair (my wig buying is getting out of hand!) and so I went back to my and my sister’s childhood with this crocheted Strawberry Shortcake cosplay.
My sister was a huge fan, she still has a Strawberry Shortcake doll that is the size of a toddler and somehow, after all these years, still smells like strawberries! I even learned to draw humans by tracing the characters for her.
This was very much an “in-between cosplays” cosplay as the only new pattern is the hat. The sweater is an adaptation of the Himbo sweater and the trousers and sweater are borrowed from other cosplays.
I definitely had fun with my makeup this time, opting to make myself look as much like a doll/cartoon as possible.
